The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Tuesday launched new arrest campaigns which have been stepped up in the West Bank following the US recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital.

Hebrew sources said that the IOF arrested nine Palestinians including the media student at al-Najah University Ola Marshoud, 21, who was summoned for interrogation by the Israeli intelligence on Monday.

The IOF at dawn raided different areas in al-Khalil province and arrested four Palestinians including an ex-prisoner.

Local sources told a news agency reporter that three Palestinian citizens were arrested during campaigns into Nablus province.

The sources added that a Palestinian youth was injured in violent clashes between Palestinian citizens and the IOF soldiers near Askar refugee camp in Nablus during which the soldiers heavily fired live ammunition, metal bullets, sound bombs and tear gas canisters.
