The Palestinian Authority (PA) security forces on Saturday arrested a Palestinian journalist and summoned three others, including a woman, in the West Bank.

Local sources told an agency that PA security soldiers rounded up journalist Abdul-Muhsen Shalaldeh as he was conducting interviews with citizens in Bethlehem.

Meanwhile, the PA preventive security apparatus summonsed three other journalists for interrogation in the West Bank. They are Ali Obeidat, Mohamed Awad and Rama Yousef (a woman).

Over the past few days, the PA security apparatuses launched a persecution campaign against Palestinian journalists and writers in the West Bank and arrested several of them.

The PA also blocked more news websites as part of its violations against freedom of the press.
