Tayseer Khaled, a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), a member of the Political Bureau of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP), criticized in his blog on social networking sites, the policy of restricting press and media freedoms and the decisions of the Palestinian Public Prosecution to block the electronic media sites by saying:

I am not a follower for many electronic media sites, which the Palestinian Public Prosecution recently has decided to block. Even I do not know much of them and perhaps I oppose them. However, this is a matter, and to be neutral toward press freedoms in particular and public freedoms in general , is another matter.

He added: "I am a defender of the press and media freedom, so , I do not see the blocking of these websites is a wise policy, especially that the technological developments allow for those interested to ignore these decisions and prohibitions and to access to the electronic sites concerned with various means.

Khaled concluded his bloc by saying : from here , I join my voice to the Syndicate of Journalists, which called for removing all restrictions on the media and to cancel the blocking  decisions , and it demanded to reopen the headquarters of dozens of media institutions, including those that have been closed since the coup by Hamas in the Gaza Strip since 10 years .
