Abu Laila calls for solidarity campaign with Shalabi and Other Prisoners

Qais Abdulkarim, Abu Laila, member of the politburo of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine called the Palestinian people for participating in the widest solidarity campaign with Hana’a Shalbi, a Palestinian prisoner on hunger strike for the past 29 days struggling the occupation prison service with her empty stomach. He also called for standing with the Detainees’ Movement in facing the war waged by the Occupation authority against them.

“Shalabi’s family resistance to the occupation and rejecting the unjust administrative detention practiced by the occupation on Shalbi and hundreds of detainees in the Israeli jails is a battle for dignity and freedom, not only for Shalbi alone, but for all our detainees”, Abu Laila added, praising the heroic role of Shalabi and the detainee Adnan Khadher who managed to obtain victory by his strong will.

MP Abu Laila stressed on the participation of all our people in solidarity marches with Shalbi and all other prisoners, because the detainee’s battle is not theirs only. It is the battle of all the Palestinian people with all their political affiliations.

Abu Laila condemned the DNA test for the detainees, considering this test an attempt to obliterate and hide the violations perpetrated against the detainees. He also focused on the necessity of internationalizing the detainees’ issue to put an end to the continued violations against the detainees and the crimes against humanity
